has been steadily rising over the past few weeks due to appearances
and success at recent awards ceremonies and the release of Clocks. It
had reached number 2 on 2 occasions in the month. Last week The White
Stripes kept them off the top spot, but largely due to their 2 UK sell
out dates, the album sales rose enough to ease it up to pole position. April 9 News Update Unfortunetly the Albuquerque gig has had to be cancelled on June 5th but an extra Red Rocks show has now been added for the same date. That's the 20th anniversary of the U2 Under A Blood Red sky concert! The gig in Strasbourg was cancelled due to Chris Martin having a viral throat infection. Coldplay messageboard screwed up almost a full week. Liam Gallagher slams Gwen and Chris and makes an ass of himself (yet again).

February 26 News Update At the 45th Grammy Awards held at Madison Square Garden in New York, they took home the awards for both categories they were nominated for; Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for In My Place and Best Alternative Music Album for A Rush Of Blood To The Head. They also performed Politik with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and received a standing ovation. They also just won both the awards at the Brit awards for the categories they were nominated for; Best British Album and Best British Group. BBC Radio 1 Broadcast with Chris also happened . NME Award Winners-Coldplay have won two Best Album awards, one voted for by the NME writers and the other by the readers. Chris Martin was also voted the winner in the Sexiest Male category! Chris and Gwen ARE still together despite rumors to the contrary.
